Frequently Asked Questions

Question: "What do I need to do in preparation of the Carpet Cleaning?"

Answer: There isn't a lot you need to do before we arrive to carry out your Carpet or Upholstery cleaning.  We normally advise just that you remove any small delicate or breakable items from the room before we arrive.

*  Part of our service is that we hoover the carpets in our cleaning process and we will also move furniture, where required.  For example sofas, dining tables etc and safely return them to where they were after cleaning.

Question: "What areas in Scotland do you offer your services?"

Answer: We are based in Dunfermline, Fife, however we cover many areas.  We can clean your carpets or upholstery if you live in Fife, Edinburgh or Kinross.  If you live outwith these places, please do contact us anyway as we may well be available in your area too.

Here you can find answers to the most common questions that we are asked on a daily basis.  Hopefully this will help you understand how we work as a carpet cleaner and upholstery cleaner.  If however you still have further questions, please do call us on 01383 725406 and we will be happy to help!

Question: "What method do you use to clean Carpets?"

Answer:  All our Carpet cleaning is carried out using the most advanced hot water extraction machines.  Hot water extraction has been proven to be the most effective and thorough clean for your carpet.  Our machines have powerful vaccuums which clean deep in to the pile of your carpet.  The pressurised hot water extraction (PHWE) process uses a combination of high water pressure for agitation, and hot water to increase reaction rate.  We currently use the best portable machines available to access any customer, whether it be a remote location or high in a block of flats.

Question: "How long does it take for my Fabric suite or Upholstery to dry after cleaning?"

Answer: Fabric upholstery does take longer to fully dry than carpets most of the time.  Depending on the fabric, some of the upholstered frames can be dry before we leave however depending on the filling in some cushions it make take up to 24 hours to fully dry.  Again we have the skills to leave your upholstery or sofas as dry as possible.

Question: "How long do the Carpets take to dry after cleaning?"

Answer: Carpets are quick drying due to the majority of the water used being extracted by our powerful machines.  Drying times can vary from job to job due to factors such as the thickness of the carpet pile, how heavily soiled the carpet was (meaning passing over the carpet more than normal to remove the dirt), and of course the temperature inside and outside of the property.  We are highly skilled in ensuring the carpet is cleaned and left as dry as possible.  We would normally advise leaving it 4-6 hours before walking on the carpet, where possible.
